Katz Cancer Resource Center: A place to access information and services related to all aspects of cancer care, at no charge. Supportive certified oncology nurses (RNs) provide guidance in sorting through questions about cancer as well as assistance in coordinating care and referrals to support services like Dominican Home Health.
Next Step (The): A boutique in Los Gatos, CA, for women who have experienced breast cancer and have had a lumpectomy or mastectomy. Products include specialty bras, swimsuits, lingerie, hair and skin products.
Palo Alto Medical Foundation – Cancer Care: A source for personalized care for patients and their families combined with high quality, compassionate, and coordinated cancer treatment.
The U’ilani Fund: A non-profit organization committed to providing support for complementary treatments for women with breast cancer in Santa Cruz County, the San Francisco Bay area, and Hawaii. Provides up to $500 for alternative/complementary care while a patient is undergoing breast cancer treatment.
Women’s Cancer Resource Center: This Oakland, CA, center has a superb library and computer-searching capabilities. Also includes local, state, and national links regarding women’s issues and health; and an extensive collection of links on women’s issues and health.
