Join our counseling program as an intern, and serve vulnerable populations in our community

About our Internships

Family Service Agency offers an exciting internship program for Graduate Level student Trainees, AMFTs, APCCs, and ASWs who want to further the agency’s mission and provide public service. Most of our interns stay with the agency until they have completed their hours.

Internships require a minimum number of training hours, which include group supervision, training, intakes, and client hours. Individual supervision is offered as needed.

The internship is a volunteer opportunity and unpaid; however, we do provide some reimbursement for expenses related to professional development.

The Schedule

Supervision begins on Tuesday mornings from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m. The training program for the first-year interns is from 10:15 to 11:45 a.m. following the supervision. Scheduling for all other hours is flexible.
