Counseling Services
We provide affordable counseling in both English and Spanish
Our Mission
If you, a family member, or a friend is struggling with depression, job loss, parenting, sexual orientation, substance use, anxiety, grief, relationship issues or family conflict, we are committed to providing affordable counseling in both English and Spanish. It takes courage to confront these issues and develop new coping strategies while struggling to maintain jobs and relationships. We are here to help.
Who we serve
Our clients are people of all ages, identities, and backgrounds. No matter what you or your loved one are facing, our team of professional counselors and interns are here to help. We welcome members of the LGBTQIA+ community, and our facilities and services are accessible to those with disabilities. We have locations conveniently located in downtown Santa Cruz and Soquel, and several of our counselors provide confidential online services.
Children
Our therapists work with the child and family members to learn skills and strategies that will improve mood and functioning. Kids may be having problems at home or in school and may be anxious, depressed, aggressive, hyperactive or engaging in self-harm or bullying. They may be going through a transition, such as a divorce, a death in the family, or are living in a difficult family situation.
Adults/Young Adults
If you’re struggling with depression, anxiety, PTSD, family transitions, school or work stresses, health issues, substance use, or complex mental health disorders, we are here to help. No matter how big or small the issues you’re facing may seem, our therapists are here to provide you with coping strategies to tackle any of life’s struggles.
Seniors
Older adults often need support with anxiety, loss, chronic or acute illness, isolation, loneliness, alcohol and drug problems, raising grandchildren, or other stressful transitions related to aging or disability and can qualify for services through Medicare. Loneliness is an epidemic amongst older adults and Counseling or our free Senior Outreach program can help.
Affordability
We accept Medi-Cal through Central California Alliance for Health and Medicare, both with no out of pocket fees. If you don’t have or don’t wish to use insurance, our low-cost Sliding Scale Fee is based on your monthly gross income to ensure all applicants can afford our services! Please reach out with any questions; we’re happy to work with you to keep our services affordable.
If you have been referred by one of our partner organizations, please mention them when you call for services and we will waive any intake fees that would otherwise be your responsibility.
