Online & In-Person Support
Survivors Healing Center is a safe and confidential place for survivors of child sexual abuse. Our goal is to empower those victimized by sexual abuse and to prevent sexual abuse of children and youth in our community. We provide a safe and supportive healing environment using a client centered process, encouraging everyone to practice self-compassion, to speak their truth and show their emotions.

About Us
Survivors Healing Center was founded in 1987 by Ellen Bass and Amy Pine, and is the only program in Santa Cruz County dedicated specifically to addressing child sexual abuse. Each year, we serve more than 2,000 people though our services and events.
Please help spread the word—we believe we can end child sexual abuse in our community. We invite everyone to participate in our events, workshops, and trainings. Together we can make a difference and end the cycle of abuse.

Who we serve
Support groups are available for women and men, teenage girls and boys, mothers of survivors, and partners of survivors.
We have facilities in Santa Cruz, Watsonville and Soquel.
Our groups are not crisis intervention. If you are in crisis, please call 9-1-1, 9-8-8, 1-877-663-5433 (ONE LIFE), or go to your nearest emergency room.
You are not alone. You are not to blame. Please reach out for support when you need it.
Women's Group
Held via zoom with Diane Sunseri, this group is open to all who identify as a woman; California residents only.
Somatic-Focused Support Group
Held in person in downtown Santa Cruz & open to all genders.
Survivors Equine Healing
This group is held in person in Felton & open to all who identify as a women.
Men's Group
Held in person in Santa Cruz, this group is open to all who identify as a man.
Teen Group
Held in person and facilitated by Jeanie Vogelzang, LMFT.
Imagine Healing Workshop Series
The Imagine Healing Workshop Series aims to provide resources to survivors, allies, practitioners and community members. The workshops focus on retraining the nervous system, healthy relationships, compassionate communication, full embodiment, and creating well-being individually and in the community as a whole.
Throughout the workshops we will learn tools that will help us connect and create a more sustainable sense of personal and community well-being: joy, connection, calm, compassion, contentment. An integral part of creating safer communities is being able to identify strengths that we already hold and build upon these strengths to broaden our personal skill set. We all want to feel heard, understood, safe and nurtured. The Imagine Healing Workshop Series is a meaningful place to start this work.
