(EFT) Emotional Freedom Technique Starts: 2:30 pm Ends: May 27, 2013 - 3:30 pm Location: WomenCARE, 2901 Park Avenue Suite A1, Soquel CA 95073 Description: Emotional Freedom Technique: E.F.T. is a powerful tool to help you cope with life with cancer by addressing the emotional challenges that may go along with a diagnosis. Sometimes called “psychological acupressure,” it is a simple tapping protocol used on specific acupuncture points on the face and body. Led by Nancy Lowe, a licensed acupuncturist and Doctor of Oriental Medicine practicing since 1987 and teaching at Five Branches University of Traditional Chinese Medicine since 1994. Each October since 1997, WomenCARE has held a “Strike Out Against Cancer” bowling benefit to raise funds to support our services. It’s not a competitive event—it’s a fun way to increase awareness while raising much needed revenue. All ages are invited to participate, with prizes, trophies, raffle tickets, and refreshments for everyone! Our past events have been overwhelmingly successful. Because our sponsors cover the overhead costs for this event, WomenCARE can say proudly that 95% of the money raised goes directly to providing free support services to women with cancer in Santa Cruz County.
